A toe of land with a striking volcanic topography and some little-known beaches, lakes, hot springs and waterfalls, Sorsogon province lies south of Albay and is the easternmost part of mainland Bicol. The province is best known to tourists for the chance to snorkel with whale sharks off the coast near Donsol, but it’s also a great area for activities such as hiking and caving. Sorsogon City makes a good base for exploring the area’s many lovely beaches – the nicest stretch of sand being Rizal Beach, in the barrio of Gubat to the east of Sorsogon City. There are many pristine coves to explore along the coast around Bacon while south of Sorsogon City, Mount Bulusan is a climbable, active volcano. Source
Found in the heart of Bulusan Volcano Natural Park, this crater lake has a sense of quiet magic in it. Rimmed by a rich tropical forest, the water is emerald and calm. It lies next to the active Bulusan Volcano and supports many endemic species of freshwater fish. The prized indigenous Jade Vine also blooms here.

Experience

Built in 1874, St. Joseph Church, popularly known as Barcelona Church, is one of the oldest churches in the Bicol region. A well-preserved heritage site, the façade, the bell tower, and its surrounding walls are the original structures whose construction did not involve any cement nor steel work. Instead, the materials used were coral rocks plastered with a mixture of beaten egg whites, tuba (a type of local wine), and lime. Also within the church's vicinity are two other historical ruins from the Spanish era. The first is the Presidencia Building, which had the dual purpose of being the town's seat of government as well as a fortress to guard against Moro raids. Opposite it is a stone building that used to be a school for the Ilustrados, or society's affluent class. These three structures are located by the coastline of Barcelona, Sorsogon, along the Pan Philippine Highway. A small park was developed by the local government to better promote the site as a tourist attraction. Source
